On August 17, 2009, the unthinkable happened – lightning struck our roof and in two hours our home of 17 years was reduced to rubble. We had just finished completely redecorating our home with Caroline. We were able to save a few cherished belongings; pictures of our boys and a piece of furniture here and there. I called Caroline from our front yard and told her that everything we had just worked on was destroyed.
Over the next two years, we worked with Caroline to rebuild our home. This time, Caroline had a blank slate – each and every room was designed for us with our lifestyle in mind.
Caroline’s attention to detail is unsurpassed; she taught me to look at everything with a critical eye. I learned how many different colors there are in the “white” and “cream” family and learned about the texture of wall coverings and fabrics. Over that two-year period of putting our lives back together, we had the utmost trust in Caroline.
When we purchased a home in Florida, we called on Caroline again. We recently added an outdoor living space to our home and the only person I considered for help with the outdoor furniture was Caroline.
When life handed us lemons, we were able, with Caroline’s help, to make lemonade. Not only do we now have a beautiful home but we gained a new friend.

Caroline was chosen by our developer to head design for The Residences of Kirkwood, Kansas City’s premier private community. As head of the realty team, I worked with Caroline to select finishes for our new construction and design numerous luxury lifestyle model units in everything from townhomes to high rise condominiums. The models she designed successfully sold over $60 million in real estate during some challenging economic times.
Caroline created furnished models in a wide range of styles, from very modern to traditional in order to appeal to all buyers. She is capable of great versatility, honed in on the smallest details down to the beautiful linens, and expertly conveyed the experience of luxury living at Kirkwood. Her interiors were always elegant and interesting, with a twist of fun, and enabled our buyers to clearly envision what their future lifestyles could be like. She worked within a range of budgets, both high and low.

I had just finished my journey with cancer and wanted to bring some joy into my home. Caroline captured that by using my favorite vibrant colors, which perfectly expressed who I am. I love how Caroline mixed modern, traditional and vintage pieces, even bringing back unique accent pieces from London. She has a keen eye. I never get tired of what she selected, her taste is timeless. Each room feels fresh and happy and makes me smile!

I saw Caroline’s work in an international magazine and asked her to design our home. That was twenty-five years ago and we have been working together ever since. I was impressed with the way she wanted to design custom made trimmings and the creativity that went into that. I loved her attention to detail! She understood the unique way Europeans do things and brought that originality into our home.
We recently downsized and moved into a smaller home. We really did not want anything changed from what she had done years before, but just refreshed with the same fabrics. Caroline had the uncanny ability to select fabrics twenty-five years ago that are still in production today. Her selections never go out of style and have staying power. She always guided me to buy quality furniture that we still have and use.
Caroline helped me come to a better understanding of design. She also helped me step out of my comfort zone while feeling at ease about it because I could trust her guidance. Even before the internet, Caroline could effectively convey her ideas and I could always visualize what the room would look like finished. My husband and I appreciated that she was always in line with our budget goals.
